about

The idea of "Technician Tips" came to me whilst I was on my own Technician training. I realised that especially for newbies, there is so much information to take in at once - why isn't there somewhere to go, vent and get clear directions to information to help prepare for the course and digest all the information thrown at me? Hence why this idea was born. I have since gone on to find CPD information and generate resources for myself and my classmates; so I thought - why not open it up to everyone?

When I say "all ambulance clinicians", I mean anyone who works in the emergency ambulance setting. NHS, Voluntary or Private. From Emergency Care Assistants, Associate Ambulance Practitioners, Emergency Medical Technicians, Student Paramedics, Paramedics etc. There are a lot of us who wear green and drive in yellow boxes; so why not help each other? After all... We are a family! (Smile for a cheesy family selfie!)

Do you want to know about my own background? Well.
I originated in the private sector on Patient Transport Service (PTS), a bit of an eye-opener. I did about two years there before getting a job with an NHS Ambulance Trust on PTS somewhere in the North. Here my passion for pre-hospital care flourished and I somehow managed to land a job a year later as an EMT.
